Ionic Foot Bath Detox Spa Buyers Guide - 10 Critical Points

 

The foundation of any smart, health conscious detoxor is the ionic footbath detox unit. It makes sense then that this should be the most researched investment the savvy detoxor makes. The 10 critical points to ponder are these:

1. Where is the detox unit made? It should be made in the US. We want to have someone in the US to work with and handle warranty issues. Be careful. 8. How is the array cleaned between uses? If it is hidden in a plastic enclosure, it cannot be cleaned much at all. If it requires harsh acids to clean, those acids will leave residue in the plates and get into the detox session water where your feet are. If you cannot clean the array easily between uses you risk mixing toxins from one detox session to another, possibly from one person to another! Differences Between Detox Spa Designs

 

There are many different detox unit makes and models. They all are trying to show why their particular model is better or why it is worth the extra money over a competitor. We will break them down into three groups:

1. Simple Machines - non digital interface

2. Computerized interface - non frequency technology

3. Computerized interface with frequency technology

 

Simple Machines/Units

These are the lower end machines although their price may not be low end. Some units have no session intensity measuring/reporting device such as a needle meter or LED intensity display. These units should be avoided, as you have no way to know how strong your session is and thus no way to adjust your sessions. Other simple units have a needle meter. These are fine as long as the power supply is regulated and UL Listed. A brick power supply like those that laptops use are the best of this type of external power supply. Some systems are no more than electrical bench power supplies with simple arrays. These workbench power supplies vary greatly in quality. The most common sold are bench power supplies from overseas. It is recommended you work with an established company, not someone matching bench power supplies to handmade arrays in their garage.

 

Computerized interface- a good solution

You get your best investment for the money here. The computerized interface makes life easier with detox sessions as these units prompt you for how much salt to add. They can perform an automatic staged detox session. They can also have metering functions for the professional clinic to loan out to their patrons then bill them by the hour of actual use. These units often show well no matter what your clientele. Some nice looking units are to be found for a great price.

These units do not have the more complicated frequency technology. Frequency technology like that found with the Health Master Foot Massager is best applied directly to the feet through the reflexology point not through water.
